Unusual computer hybrid

Lenovo offers an atypical solution for the consumer market, a laptop that consists of two computers: a slit tablet – a screen and a laptop – a keyboard; in every part of the hybrid is a processor and an independent operating system.

The Lenovo IdeaPad U1 won the “Best of CES” premium at the CES 2010 Consumer Electronics Show for its unique hybrid notebook design.

U1 provides two computers in one device – each with its own processor and operating system, working together and separately – as a closed notebook or multi-touch tablet. The Lenovo IdeaPad U1 has a paper size and the whole computer is flat and weighs just 1.7 kg.
