Currently, mobile display screens are generally equipped with fairly wide frames that spoil the aesthetics of the entire device. Manufacturers have been striving to slim down for some time, and LG Display has just reached its peak in this area.
The Korean giant has just revealed a brand-new display for mobile devices that has the world’s thinnest frame. The panel surrounds the sides of the frame with a thickness of only 0.7 mm and it is almost invisible, giving the impression that the screen extends over the entire width of the device. This effect is achieved through the use of Neo Edge technology. Instead of double-sided adhesive tape, glue was used, and the entire surface was completely sealed, including the edges of the printed circuit boards and the backlight of the screen. It also features Advanced In-Cell Touch technology that improves responsiveness to touch.
