Netbooks with Chrome OS

Google officially confirms that it is slowly beginning to prepare for the market launch of Chrome OS netbooks. It will take place at the end of the second quarter in selected countries.

Google is still negotiating sales terms with hardware manufacturers and distributors. In testing the whole ecosystem of the Chrome OS, Samsung and Acera are helping intensively. Ready-to-market solutions will appear in Wi-Fi and 3G variants and will be exclusively in the form of netbooks.

Chrome OS will not be officially available as a separate product. Each variant of this system will be tightly integrated with the computer on which it will be preinstalled. The system itself will remain open, so you can use unofficial modifications for other computers. However, these will not be supported by Google.
