Lucid Motors announced last December a new electric car called Lucid Air. Now the company has revealed how much it will cost this 400-horse vehicle. The price of the basic version was set at 60 thousand. dollars.
In the near future, Tesla will have to make an effort to attract customers with its vehicles, as competition in this area will be very strong. A few days ago Volvo announced its first fully electric vehicle, while Lucid Motors revealed the price of its new car, which is also powered by electricity.
The Lucid Air was introduced late last year and is a luxury sedan that will compete not only with the Tesla Model S, but also with the BMW and Mercedes limousines. It was equipped with an electric power steering unit of 400 hp, which transmits the drive to the rear axle. The manufacturer assures that on a single charge the vehicle will travel approximately 380 km, and additionally it can do it alone, because it is equipped with the technology of autonomous driving.
Its cabin can accommodate five passengers who travel with a 10-speaker audio system and four LCD multimedia displays, three of which are tactile.
Of course this is the basic version, because the list of accessories is quite big. There are also extra batteries that allow you to drive 500 and 640 km respectively, as well as the more powerful 1000 hp engine available with both axles.
You can also order an active suspension and 21 “wheels (19” in standard). The list of accessories also includes electrically adjustable seats in 22 planes, equipped with heating, ventilation, massage and dynamic pumping pumping to better keep the body in the corner. The rear seat is also electrically adjustable, and the audio system can have 29 loudspeakers and active noise reduction technology to ensure quiet in the cabin.
The basic version of Lucid Air is $ 60,000. However, if we opt for a better-equipped variant, then the price list will close with $ 100,000.
