Smartphone manufacturers have so far used mainly plastic in their devices, which was a cheap and effective solution. But consumers are becoming increasingly fussy and expecting much better materials, so the companies are trying to meet these expectations. Huawei, in its latest Ascend P8, plans to use metal and ceramics.
As the tech blog MyDrivers reports, the Chinese company is currently working on the new Ascend P8 smartphone, which will be the flagship product and will not only offer an efficient technical specification, but also a sleek design. The manufacturer will use a metal casing here, however the rear panel and buttons will be made of ceramic, which will definitely increase the strength of these elements to scratch.
As far as technical specifications are concerned, we will find a 5.2-inch 1080p touch screen and slightly rounded edges, while the heart will be the new 8-core 16nm processor manufactured by TSMC.
