High-end equipment. Eizo has announced the launch of the ColorEdge Prominence CG3145 monitor with its high quality IPS panel and high contrast. The product is also compatible with HDR technology and provides a very wide color palette. As for the equipment for the professionals fit, it will be a really expensive product.
The Eizo ColorEdge Prominence CG3145 is a 31.1 “IPS screen with a resolution of 4096 x 2160 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. The model boasts a static contrast ratio of up to 1000000: 1 and a maximum brightness of 1000 cd / m. The manufacturer did not say which panel he used, but there is a lot of speculation on the new, specially prepared Panasonic IPS model that would be the only one capable of providing such a contrast.
The viewing angles are 178 degrees both vertically and horizontally. The device provides 10-bit color depth, so it is able to display 1.07 billion colors. At the same time it offers 99% coverage of Adobe RGB, 98% for DCI P3 and 80% for Rec 2020. The response time of the matrix is 9 ms (GTG). As we mentioned, the product supports HDR technology, and Eizo ensures that it does so much better than the rest of the device. As the company claims, the monitor is expected to offer accurate values for color and brightness for each pixel. We get an HDR without the disadvantages of ABL (Auto Brightness Limiter) technology, used by LG in their OLEDs. It makes the very bright areas and the colors themselves seem darker, but it negatively affects the color accuracy itself. There is no problem with the Eizo monitor.
Equipped with two HDMI connectors and two DisplayPort. There are also three USB 3.0 ports on board. There is still a lot of information left on the product page, which should appear nearer to the launch of the monitor. According to plans, Eizo ColorEdge Prominence CG3145 is expected to be available by the end of this year. Price is not yet known, but it will definitely be higher than the twin model Eizo ColorEdge CG318-4K (without HDR).
