Asus is working on a cheaper alternative … Nexus 7?

The period of Christmas shopping madness clearly works on the imagination of mobile device manufacturers. More and more indications are that in December on the market will be published new budget tablet Asus with 7-inch screen and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

To tell the truth – the information about it has been circulating in the media for some time now. The first, so far unofficial and probably unlikely reports indicate that it will initially appear exclusively on the African market. Other, somewhat more optimistic news is a much more interesting and rather surprising scenario – according to some media and commentators Asus to the company of Google want to release before the Christmas holidays to the budget market, cheaper version of the popular Nexus 7. Its price would have fluctuated around … just $ 99. And once it’s enough – it is certain that it must somehow reflect on the technical specifications of the device.

The tests conducted through GLBenchmark (as far as we do not know how true) show that the new Asus tablet will have the aforementioned 724-inch screen resolution of 1024 by 600 pixels, dual-core (probably) processor of unknown origin, clock frequency 1GHz, Mali 400 And 4270 mAh battery. Of course, it will work under the control of the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. So much. As soon as we learn something new (and more certain) – we’ll let you know.
