Asetek, which has been designing and supplying patented liquid-cooled computer components for more than 10 years, has just filed a patent application for its latest product, specifically designed to cool the Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card.
Liquid cooling has the advantage over air-cooling systems that it is not only much quieter but also more efficient. Unfortunately, it also has some disadvantages that include higher price, complex assembly and reduced mobility of the computer. Hence, they are not as popular as typical coolers, although they have their audience.
Asetek is one of the liquid-cooling manufacturers that has been offering patent-pending solutions for high performance and trouble-free operation for many years, filed a patent application for a completely new product designed to cool graphics cards.
As André Sloth Eriksen explains, Aseteka founder and director, the new solution was developed for the Radeon R9 295X2 graphics card, which requires two processors to deliver high-performance cooling, eliminating the risk of overheating under full load.
