Akasa Newton S7 and AC – housing for NUC

Intel Micro Serving Shed. Akasa announced the expansion of its offering with two new models of miniature computer enclosures, the Newton S7 and Newton AC. Both are designed for different Intel NUC solutions, and they are passive, so they silently cool down the most important components.

The Akasa Newton S7 is designed for 15-watt Intel NUCs with Core i3 and Core i5 processors, NUC7i3BNK, NUC7i3BNH, NUC7i5BNK and NUC7i5BNH. Newton AC is designed for NUC with Intel “Apollo Lake” Pentium and Celeron processors such as, NUC6CAYH and NUC6CAYS.

The Newton S7 has dimensions of 176.5 x 200 x 53.5 mm and is made of well-presented aluminum, which is also a heat sink for the processor. In the case we have a storage space for 2.5 inch data storage and up to 9.5 mm thick. On the front are two USB 3.0 ports, an infrared receiver and an audio jack (mini jack). There are, among others. Two holes for Wi-Fi antenna.

Newton AC is a 140 x 111 x 51 mm enclosure with an almost identical aluminum design. From the predecessor this model is distinguished by the fact that there are no sockets on the front and only holes on them. Both enclosures are to be offered with external power supplies.
